Spulciando il famigerato documento americano sul caso Sgrena/Callipari a cui hanno levato le pecette (vedi qui), ci sono alcune cosette che balzano all’occhio, cosette che fanno parte della sezione intitolata Local Security Situation:

1 – Iraq. From July 2004 to late March 2005, there were 15,257 attacks against Coalition Forces throughout Iraq. The U.S. considers all of Iraq a combat zone.

2 – From 1 November 2004 to 12 March 2005 there were a total of 3306 attacks in the Baghdad area. Of these, 2400 were directed against Coalition Forces.

3 – Between 1 November 2004 and 12 March 2005, there were 135 attacks or hostile incidents that occurred along Route Irish (Route Irish è la strada su cui è avvenuto il fattaccio). These included 9 complex attacks (i.e., a combination of more than one type of attack, e.g., an IED followed by small arms fire or mortars), 19 explosive devices found, 3 hand grenades, 7 indirect fire attacks, 19 roadside explosions, 14 rocket propelled grenades (RPGs), 15 vehicle borne explosive devices, and 4 other types of attacks.

Per essere un posto dove la guerra è finita da un pezzo (come dicono Bush e i suoi manutengoli), mi pare che di attività bellica ce ne sia un po’ tantina. O sarà la tipica esuberanza dei popoli mediorientali?
